Welcome to Geneva Polo Club
Dear Friends and Polo Players!
The GPC team would like to extend our best wishes for the new polo season! If you played with us in 2009, you will surely notice many new and upgraded features of the club for 2010. Members from 2009 will remember the excitement of our inaugural year - one in which we played 135 chukkas! And fielded nearly the full club to compete in the Phenix Cup in September.

As we enter our 2nd full season of polo and unique events, we continue to upgrade facilities and smooth and prepare the fields with sand, seeding and irrigation. For 2010 we have added to our facilities for horses and players with washing stations, new pony lines and preparation areas next to the barn, completion of the café, BBQ area and wood practice horse at the farm, new siding and roof on the main barn, opening of fields 2 and 3 for practice and small sided play, new fencing and paddocks and several new horses acquired for the club which are for sale to members at favorable rates.
While we are proud of these and other achievements made, we recognize a number of items still need attention, most notably irrigation. Work is now in progress for a major irrigation system based around field #1, which will help provide a smooth, green playing surface during the season. For 2010 the club’s primary objectives will be to continue renovations began in 2009, increase the overall activity at the club for more consistent polo. We also need to grow the membership, and importantly the number of horses on pension (box or paddock) at the club.
New for 2010 we are launching the Social Membership with the goal of creating a group of 50-100 core members who will receive club and partner discounts and be invited to participate in all club events. The GPC’s Pony Club begins this spring and is offering pony rides and training to kids and aspiring young players plus the club now has professional trainers on staff who will be conducting training sessions by appointment – please contact the club for further details.
We look forward to seeing all of you again soon and to making 2010 a fantastic year for polo and the GPC!
The GPC Team
